I am a recent graduate of Harvard College with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Anthropology and a minor in German Studies. I graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in my field, and also graduated Phi Beta Kappa (an academic excellence designation given to only about 10% of each Harvard graduating class). I have been working as a tutor (mostly in English writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and speaking--but I have also tutored in German, Latin, and Spanish) for the past three years, and have been editing and writing for student publications for the past seven years.
I love tutoring because it allows me to share my passion for the English language with people from all over the world. Over the past three years, I've worked with students from Thailand, Hungary, Italy, South Korea, Germany, Kuwait, Germany, and China, and have been constantly delighted by the ways that my students respond to the challenges and joys of learning the English language. And I'd love to work with you, too! I tailor my tutoring to the needs of each of my students. Maybe you need to work more on pronunciation and speaking, or maybe you need to work more on writing and grammar. Regardless, we'll work together to find a tutoring pathway that helps you strengthen your language skills and build language confidence.
I offer Skype- and phone-based tutoring, as well as essay editing over email. For all of my services, including essay editing, I charge by the hour.
